1. Why are user names required on MyVacationPlaces.com?

A new user must register to take advantage of several of the advanced features available on MyVacationPlaces.com, including posting a MyVacationPlace.com ad, use of the Rich text editor, and enhanced use of the MyVacationPlaces.com, Blogs, and advanced use of the Forums. Users who do not register can still VIEW ads, blogs, and do basic posts in the forums. Once a user registers, a registered user can post to the forums and classified "Vacation Places" posting area, although all ads are reviewed by the MyVacationPlaces.com webmaster, before they are made visible. Generally this review process will take 12 hours or less (and sometimes it is only minutes).�

By default, only a user's DISPLAY name (and COUNTRY \ Area) is shown to other users, unless that new user implicitly changes their profile to allow other registration information (like favorite website or email address) to be shown to others. Another reason for the registration process, is to reduce the possibility that fraudulent users will attempt to use the website for purposes not intended, like spamming. A user, who is having any difficulty in registration (or with any other aspect of MyVacationPlaces.com), can request assistance from the webmaster, by sending an email to:�webmaster@MyVacationPlaces..com

2. Steps required to create a new user ID?

A. First, press the “Register” link located in the upper right hand corner of the site, as shown below:

After you press REGISTER, you will see a webform, where you can enter both REQUIRED, and OPTIONAL information required for registration.�After registration is complete, you can edit these fields, and OPTIONALLY decide which fields are viewable by all users, and which is restricted to registered users or restricted to everybody, except MyVacationPlaces Admins only.�Only your Display Name, Country, and Region are by default visible to all.

NOTE: If you choose to make fields other than your Display Name, Country, and Region, visible to other users, select your user id in upper right of web page, then “MANAGE PROFILE”, to make those selections.

3. How to create a new ad Posting {This requires a user id be created FIRST}

After you have created a user registration login user name, you can then create a MyVacationPlaces.com free web ad, by following the following steps.�Once you complete the process, the ad will be sent to the webmaster for review and approval, a process which should normally take less than 12 hours, depending upon what time you place the ad, and webmaster availability.�You will receive an email after approval.

STEP A: First, navigate to the geographic area of the world you wish to post an ad.�For example, if your Vacation Place is located in Italy, move your mouse to the VACATION PLACE main menu, then move down to EUROPE, and then to the right, select SOUTHERN EUROPE.�This will launch the Classified Ad area, for that part of the world.

STEP B: Next, position your mouse, to click on the link for Post New Listing, which will launch the form to place your ad

STEP C: At the top of the form, you will have a choice between using the basic (default) TEXT editor, or you can choose the Rich Text Editor (see below), which provides many more options in making your ad look more graphic, an appealing to prospective viewers.
